Join Us for Curbside Chowder
We are thrilled to host the 2020 Chowder Social to benefit the historic Foss Waterway Seaport. Because of the Museum's state-mandated closure and due to current health concerns and public gathering constraints, we are hosting an online silent auction HERE September 10 – 20 and a contactless event at the Seaport on Sunday, September 20 with all of your favorite local Chowders!
On Sunday, September 20 between the hours of 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM you can experience the convenience of curbside chowder pick-up, purchase raffle tickets for some incredible prize packages and raise your paddle, all from the safety of your own vehicle.
All curbside Chowder supporters will receive a complimentary custom Foss Waterway Seaport cloth facemask. Raise the Paddle gifts in the amount of $250 and above will receive a one-year NARM/Foss Waterway Seaport Family Membership.
MENU: Each curbside Chowder meal will contain the following: THREE (6 ounce) servings of ready-to-eat Chowder!
- Award winning New England Clam Chowder from Cafe Pacific Catering
- Manhattan Clam Chowder from The Vault Catering
- Creamy Corn Chowder from Snuffin's Catering
- Side Caesar Salad
- A fresh baked Roll with Butter
- A delicious Chocolate Chip Cookie

Foss Waterway Seaport management will be performing required Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department wellness checks on all staff, vendors and volunteers that will be onsite during the curbside Chowder Social including no-touch thermometer temperature checks. We will adhere to the CDC's physical distancing guidelines and provide PPE (personal protection equipment) including face masks, gloves and extra hand-washing stations. All curbside Chowder drive-through guests are required to wear face coverings.
